Item # 1:
Harvest Pork
Price: $7.65
There's a reason this one is number one on the menu. I'd say it's the most consistent one here. Definitely my favorite before I started going down the menu. It's just sliced pork with cabbage and red pepper sauce. So called because it was the favorite of the field hands after coming in from a long tough harvest. Hearty and meaty and almost perfect every time. It's such a shame that I have to wait until I finish the menu before I can order it here again. Luckily, Brandy Ho's on Kearny does have a decent version of it - enough to tide me over for a while, but still nowhere near as good as Henry's.

Man, I just can't wait until I can have this again. You don't realize how good something is until you're deprived of it for so long!

Moss three words: "The waiting is." Does anyone here know who said that in what novel?

Who cares. Can someone send me some smoked ham. There's nothing like this in Boulder.

"The waiting is" - I believe that is Heinlein, Stranger In A Strange Land. I could be wrong.

I work two blocks from the Henry's on Natoma and soon I will be leaving the bay area. I will miss nothing in SF as much as I will miss Henry's! The New Yorker Magazine wrote 26 years ago that it was the best Chinese food in the world and they were right.
