Item # 72:
Rice with Diced Chicken, Minced Garlic and Vegetables
Price: $5.45
Date completed:  Tuesday June 17th, 2003
It took me seventy-two items, but I have finally figured out a way to make money off this Henry's menu thing. Here's the deal - this dish is basically the exact same thing as the "Hot And Sour Chicken Over Rice" lunch special. No, not just basically, that's exactly what it is. Yummy carrots, garlic, onions and red peppers with the chicken. So you come in for lunch, you see the specials on the white boards, say (to yourself), "Hmm think I'll have the Hot And Sour Chicken special". That thing is priced at six (6) dollars. This is only $5.45. I'm telling you right now it's the same as this dish. I'll cut you a deal - I'll take $0.25 of the $0.55 difference between them. You save $0.30, and I get a quarter for providing you with the service. I think it's a win-win-win situation. You save thirty cents which can use, for yourself, ANY WAY YOU WANT. I get the quarter. And Henry still gets your business. For now, I have to take the quarters in person, but I'll be setting up a pay pal account soon. And yes, I know I'm getting towards the end, and it's starting to drive me crazy how I'm going to handle it. I can't sleep at night thinking what I'm going to do to mark the occasion, how my life will change when this is all over, will they really name a dish after me, etc. Ok, not really.

Oh gee, did I blow it. Yesterday I met a guy who ordered this dish which Hot And Sour Chicken over Rice was on special, and I didn't even collect the quarter from him! I really have a lot to learn about making money on this thing.
