I believe that Shrimp Fried Rice is the very first dish I ever tried here at Henry's - like about three years ago. I remember it wasn't so great and never thought about coming here that much. It wasn't until the Kung Pao and the Harvest Pork were tried by me that this place made the transition to immortality. Well, this sure brought me back down to earth. The shrimp weren't even the funny-looking DNA double-helixes. And the entire left side (right side if you were sitting across from me) of the Shrimp Fried Rice had no shrimp in it. Should have called it Half Shrimp Fried Rice. Other than that, it is ok. Next one will be ok and then finally there is Diana's Meat Pie and this ordeal, quest, project, undertaking--whatever you want to call it--will be over with and I can come in here and order ANYTHING I WANT! So I got that going for me. Which is nice.

Will miss your comments after you finish the menu. Too bad you were not around to eat at the original Henry's on Kearny. (before earthquake). A little hole in the wall, but very popular with financial district crowd and the cooks were the best! They made the best hot & sour chicken & beef. Best dumplings & the hottest Kung Pao. The noodles dishes were wonderful and if you sat at the counter, you could watch the ladies cook your lunch.
